Water Inspired

The movement and fluidity of water has long been a source of inspiration for designers when creating products for the bathroom. These tile and ceramic designs all feature smooth, organic lines for a serene and calming space.

Acclaimed Italian architect and designer, Rodolfo Dordoni, has created Tidewater, a luxury tile collection for Portland-based tile and stone brand Ann Sacks, that features angled striations that resemble tidemarks in sand.

Created by French designer Caroline Beaupere, the new Dune tub from AF New York is available with a smooth surface or with a gently textured exterior that resembles the reflection of ripples in water.

The organic forms of Ludovica and Roberto Palomba’s self titled Palomba collection for Laufen are inspired by tide pools and the water that collects in the smooth cavities of coastal rocks.

This custom concrete Erosion Sink by Gore Design Co. is designed like a geographical map of a drainage basin with its contour lines.

The white porcelain of Kanera’s 1E washbasin is sculpted to create movement as the water flows over the smooth surface like water over rocks.
