The GROHE Grandera Collection

Combining elements of the past with modern design, the new line of Grandera faucets by Grohe were launched earlier this year in May.

When creating the collection, the design team took inspiration from timeless buildings and objects such as the Eiffel tower and the archetypal table lamp shape, both of which feature sweeping lines that flare outwards. The idea was to create a faucet with a familiar form that could evoke a sense of nostalgia and comfort.

For the faucet’s  spout and levers, the Grohe design team used a square with curved edges – a shape they named the ‘squircle’ – to create what they describe as: “flowing feminine forms with masculine edges.”

Produced in a new hybrid alloy called Grohe Zero that contains 90% less lead than standard brass and is five times more resistant to corrosion, the Grandera faucets are available in three finishes – brushed nickel, polished chrome and chrome with gold accents.

The collection also features GROHE StarLight® technology, which means that the faucets will not only retain their shine in the long term but they are also extremely resistant to dirt and scratches.
