Copper Continued

Highlighted last year as an emerging material trend, warm copper finishes continue to grow in popularity across all categories but nowhere more so than within the bathroom space.

Launching this summer, Dornbracht‘s Cyprum finish takes its name from the Latin word Cuprum referring to copper mines of the ancient world. Made of a copper and gold alloy mixture, the 18-carat patina features a non-corrosive electroplated surface and was developed in partnership with the company’s longtime collaborator Sieger Design. Cyprum is the first new finish to be launched by Dornbracht since 2009 and is available in the brand’s most iconic designs – MEM (bath) and Tara (kitchen).

Conceived as a piece of jewelry, Spanish bathroom brand Inbani‘s Bowl collection by Arik Levy mixes white ceramic with copper and marble details. Cage-like storage compartments made from copper- or powder-coated metal are incorporated into a series of freestanding and wall-mounted washbasins and tables, while copper frames add definition and functionality to the wall-mounted and freestanding mirrors.
