Cape Cod by Philippe Starck for Duravit

Unveiled last month at ICFF 2015, the Cape Cod Collection by Philippe Starck includes washbasins, vanities, and a bathtub. Starck developed the new pieces for Duravit from “a new point of inspiration—the beloved New England region of Cape Cod.”

Slim and delicate washbasins in various shapes complement the showpiece of Cape Cod, one-of-a-kind vanities featuring a roughly hewn shape that mimics driftwood.

Available in four wood finishes—Vintage Oak, American Walnut, European Oak, and White Beech—the Cape Cod vanities create a unique surface. In Vintage Oak, Starck’s Cape Cod vanity looks beautifully weathered, like a piece of driftwood that migrated from ocean to bath. Vanities can also be finished in White High Gloss with optional doors and side shelves for convenient storage.

Cape Cod washbasins include round, square, and tri-oval shapes, all of which are superbly slim thanks to Duravit’s proprietary DuraCeram material, which offers strength and impact resistance in a “slender form” (rim thickness is 1/5 of an inch). With a sinuous shape and “cashmere-like feel,” a lovely bathtub completes Cape Cod. Constructed of DuraSolid, the bathtub is matte and warm to the touch—a welcomed feature for those seeking a relaxing soak.
