Matte Black Magic: Kitchen Trend

For those looking to make a statement in the kitchen space, sophisticated matte black sinks and faucets add a touch of drama without upsetting the ambience. From a practical point of view, smudges and finger marks are less visible on black surfaces than they are on polished chrome finishes, making matte black a good looking and low maintenance option.

Kohler’s matte black Simplice mixer faucet has a slim and elegant high arch spout with a pull-down, ball joint swivel sprayhead.

LagorPure 50 by Villeroy & Boch combines a circular basin and completely smooth, recessed drainer surface. Shown here in the largest size and in graphite ceramic, the LagorPure is available in two sizes and comes in all of the Villeroy & Boch ceramic colors.

Canadian kitchen brand Julien’s quartz composite sink collections are available in both topmount and undermount versions and features a smooth, antibacterial surface. Available in black, brown, beige or white, there are a variety of single- and double-bowl configurations as well as bar sinks to choose from.

The rectangular design of Kohler’s contemporary Evoke Single Kitchen Sink Mixer Tap is softened by its smooth, rounded edges and a tactile matt black finish. The swivel spout has a solid brass body and is fitted with an aerator that provides a smooth champagne-like flow of water.

The Steel Optik and Black version of Hansgrohe’s high arch Allegro E Kitchen Faucet features handy black plastic grips on the single handle and pull down sprayhead.
