Hub of the Home

The most social room of the modern home is undoubtedly the kitchen. No longer just a space for cooking, the kitchen is now a place to interact with family and friends, creating a link between living and dining. In recent years kitchen designs have been adapted to better facilitate this with increasingly sophisticated kitchen islands. Allowing for face to face social interaction while prepping and cooking food, the kitchen island can also provide space for storage and areas for communal dining and relaxing.

Housed in a steel framework the G690 kitchen island by Gamadecor features a white Krion® countertop with an Easy Rack system for storing utensils and kitchen products inside the work table. The island’s outside surfaces are covered with Blanco Tabarca Striped; a grooved texture which provides a tactile and contemporary finish.

Combining classic details with modern appeal,  the new +EDITION kitchen by German brand Poggenpohl incorporates a herb garden, dining table, hob and prep area.

The 45 degree angles of the Sinuousa kitchen island by Vegni for Effeti USA, focuses on an open flow from kitchen to living area. When installed alongside Effeti USA’s linear L’Evoluzione kitchen, the two can work together to create a customizable kitchen solution with a streamlined aesthetic and more spatial flexibility.

Boasting sleek architectural lines, Ludovica+Roberto Palomba’s Isola Cross for Elmar Cucine features a stainless steel top equipped with an integrated hob and sink.
