Dornbracht Introduces MEM faucet in Rose Gold
With polished chrome and silver having reigned supreme in the bathroom for the past decade, we’ve been watching with interest as rich colors such as gold, bronze and copper have made a comeback. The latest warm-hued metal to join the ranks is rose gold, with the arrival of Dornbracht‘s 2003 MEM faucet by Sieger Design in a new pink-toned metal finish.
Emerging as a material trend on the catwalks in 2012, this luxurious copper and gold alloy has been a particularly popular choice for tech and automotive applications.
Called ‘Cyprum’, Dornbracht’s new rose gold finish is highly reflective, produced on the basis of 18-karat fine gold with genuine copper. The exclusive finish is currently only available on the MEM faucet but there are plans to roll it out to other select designs over time.
The launch of the new finish also coincides with the addition of two new products to the MEM series: a free-standing bathtub mixer with flow spout and bar-type hand-held shower head, and a 3-hole mixer for the bathtub edge. It’s also worth nothing that all MEM products can now be combined with digital outlets and controls from other series, e.g. the Water Modules introduced in 2013 or Dornbracht’s Smart Water digital control technology.
