Marvelous Marble: Bathroom Trend

More popular than ever before, marble is a material that effortlessly brings luxury and prestige to the interior. As a construction material, it’s perfect for modern bathroom designs due to its clean and sculptural aesthetic as well as it’s durability and anti-bacterial properties. Here we highlight 5 elegant washbasin designs made using this natural and beautiful material.

Antonio Lupi‘s L-shaped Pipa by Italian architect Carlo Colombo is a freestanding washbasin made from Carrara marble with a satin finish.

The L10 washbasin by Norbert Wangen for Boffi is made from a single piece of solid Carrara marble. The basin is partially excavated and there is a rear space, with a single hole for the installation of a mono mixer tap. The water outlet is in the middle of the washbasin with a plug covered in the same marble.

Rapsel recently introduced a flexible line of washbasins available in a range of different measurements and finishes designed to suit any space. Choose from 50, 60, 70, 80 and 90 cm sizes, and from black Valdostano, white Carrara, Pietra Serena or Grey Bard marbles.

This white Carrara marble washbasin by Stone Forest has a wide wide oval shape and a large basin with tall straight walls that drop straight to the floor.

Designed by Angelo Mangiarotti and inspired by a garden planter he designed in 1970, the truncated conical base of the Bjhon washbasin for Agape can be fitted with two different shapes of basin.
