LaCucina by Antonio Lupi
At this year’s Salone del Mobile, Italian brand Antonio Lupi presented it’s first kitchen project. LaCucina is the result of a year-long collaboration between architect Marco Casamonti and Andrea Lupi.
Bringing the brand’s trade mark sophistication to the kitchen space, LaCucina is a continuos curved Corian surface that integrates areas for cooking, preparation and storage. Easy to clean, the white surface is lit from above by a bright strip of LEDs recessed into the curve of the Corian.
LaCucina is wall mounted – a design innovation that frees up floor space and allows the work surface to be positioned at any height. The top of the curved surface holds the extractor hood and also functions as a shelf, while cabinets below provide ample storage.
The seamless work surface houses an integrated sink, induction hobs, a cutting board and storage for accessories, while the mixers and satin stainless steel taps from the Ayati collection are mounted on the backsplash.
The modular design is available as a wall-mounted unit or as an island and can be customized to incorporate any appliances or fittings.
