Kartell by Laufen 2014

Following its debut last year, Kartell by Laufen showcased new accessories, new moods, new metallic colours and new ceramic textures at this year’s Salone del Mobile. 

New drain outlets, which extend across the entire width of the washbasin, shower trays and bath tub overflows bring a new sleek look.

In addition, the bath tub overflows are equipped with atmospheric LED lighting while, in the air whirlpool bath configuration, the overflows have aromatic misting.

Designed by Ludovica and Roberto Palomba, the collection is made using the revolutionary material Saphirkeramik that combines the properties of plastic and ceramic. Made with a mineral called corundum, the material has an exceptional hardness and folding strength – similar to that of steel – yet retains all the advantages of classic sanitary ware – it’s hygienenic, hardwearing, and has a long lifespan.

All washbasins are available in white, LCC [Laufen Clean Coat] white, matt white, gloss black and matt grey. The base units, drawer elements, cupboards and the open furniture element are available in gloss white, gloss black, matt grey, gloss orange, gloss plum and gloss Bordeaux. The handles of the drawers and doors are available in white for white furnishings, with black handles for black furnishings and polished chrome for all other colour variations. The washtops are only available in gloss white.
