Dune Collection by Caroline Beaupere for AF New York

Sensuous and serene, the Dune sanitaryware Collection by French interior designer Caroline Beaupere is the first in a series of select launches from AF New York that are scheduled for 2014.

 

 

Comprising two egg-shaped tubs and a gently curved basin, the architecturally designed Dune Collection is inspired by the Siwa Oasis in the Libyan Desert in Egypt.

 

 

Designer Caroline Beaupere explains, “Surrounded by wind sculpted dunes and majestic mountains, the oasis is a magical haven, a place out of time where you forget about the outside world. Being able to escape the hectic pace of modern life is a luxury. The whole concept behind the collection was to create a tranquil environment for the ultimate relaxation.”

The cocooning egg-shaped tub is available with a smooth surface or with a gently textured exterior that resembles patterns in the sand or the reflection of ripples in water.

Made from a linear slab, the basin design features a subtle curved indentation that functions as the bowl.
